Paper on Perseverance
I was thinking a lot about what perseverance means to me, is it good or bad to be perseverant and whether there are universal cases or situations when he person should be perseverant. I have always considered myself far from being perseverant. When I face particular situations I’m always in doubt how to behave, but what I am really proud of, is when the choice is already made, I am going straight to reaching the goal and show as much perseverance as the situation demands.

Fra
Angelico “The Annunciation”
In this essay I will describe the painting of Fra Angelico the Annunciation and why it is important to the western art history. I will also present my personal experiences and thoughts that arise when I look at the painting, as well as explain the quotation regarding meeting ourselves in the works of art.
Fra Angelico is the Italian painter of the Renaissance period, who came from Tuscany. His works predominantly reveal Biblical scenes, and contain elements that are conservatively Gothic and progressively Renaissance. His style is simple and in some manner rather childish, and in his works he expresses his profound reverence to God and love to humanity. His manner of drawing is far from being childish; it is geometrical with hard-finished precision (Berenson, 1953).

1. Kate Chopin’s novel The Awakening is set in New Orleans, on a famous summer holiday resort, called Grand Isle. It is a favorite place of rich Creoles. It is there that the main character of the novel, Edna, meets the people that will change her life. The author chose this place as at that time, at the end of the nineteenth century, Creole women were much more outspoken than American women and their behavior was more unreserved, which was an incitement to Edna to become free from her husband’s power.

Essay
on Separation of church and state in US Constitution
America was not once overflowed by the waves of religious exaltation. So, the country passed through a religious splash, which got the name of Great awakening and uniting a few protestant flows in an attempt to overcome the complacency of instituated religion in 1740. Another Great awakening shook New England at the earliest stage of the XIX-th century.
Father-founders of the United States firmly trusted that religion had been an irreplaceable constituent in the system of republican self-government. The receiving of independence from royal power threw them down a challenge – how to lay in the citizens of the newly made country the sense base of the personal responsibility and at the same to provide a public peace in the conditions of self-government. Knowing the religiousness of the citizens, they appealed to religion and effluent from it rules of morality, I.e. morals, which would be the internal moral compass of citizens, making them to behave disciplined and, thus, to provide public peace and political stability. It was written by Thomas Jefferson on the 1-st of January 1802.

Essay
on Segregation
If to speak about European countries, nowadays gender segregation is not so popular and widely spread. It considered to be noble, correct and fashionable in the previous centuries, when there was social gender segregation. It meant that firstly only men could get education, while women were like home animals having no rights to speak, to vote, to be socially demanded. Even when women became more independent, gender segregation was necessary, because psychological, physical and sexual education among men and women was quite different. It was possible at that time, but today it is not so typical for this society, as man and woman are equal and have the same rights. But there are still some educational establishments where gender segregation is accepted. These are the establishments with great history and traditions which are followed from year to year, from generation to generation.
