Research Paper

1. Different Periods in Russian Economy
In this research paper I will shortly cover general features of economy during the periods from industrialization of Stalin till present Medvedev’s government.

Stalin had great influence on the economy of the Soviet Union in 1920s. It was he, who launched industrialization process, and who knows where could be Russia now, if he did everything right and succeeded. From one hand his actions were directed on the overall well-being of the Soviet Union and its people. He was a real patriot who wanted to see USSR on the top of the world. On the other hand he was ruthless to common people and in every second person envisioned the enemy of the nation. Obviously, all public enemies had to stay in convict colonies and camps (Barbusse 42-44).

Management Planning Essay

Management
Planning Essay

1 Introduction
Planning, one of the four functions of management, is a continuous process, whose main features are the definition of goals and objectives and prescribing the means to achieve those goals. Planning takes place at all managerial levels and may take different forms, such as long-term strategic planning, formal and informal plans, project-focused plans and the establishment of criteria for the other functions, especially in regard to control. Reviewing studies on the link between planning and performance, Robbins & Coulter (2006) indicate several empirical findings, which can be used as “rules of thumb” for the evaluation of planning:

First, formal planning (i.e. making long-term plans that are written down, communicated to other members of the organization and followed by implementation plans) should generally lead to superior financial performance. Second, managers should give priority to proper implementation rather can providing extensive plans. Third, failed plans are usually those, whose implementation is not possible due to changes in the external environment. Finally, concerning the findings mentioned above, it is clear that performance is influenced not only from the quality of planning, but also from its tome frame.

Research Paper on Government Outsourcing

Outsourcing
in the Government

1. Introduction
The definition of the outsourcing can be very different, as different government answer the question about how the outsourcing can be defined in accordance with their political contexts. For many governments the word “sourcing” have the same meaning as “market-testing” and “competing”. But in reality there can be several types of outsourcing in the government, the main one is defined as the process of contracting companies from the private-sector that it took the responsibility for the particular process or function, for which still the Government remains accountable. It is obvious that such a definition doesn’t include short-term contract relationships with the private sector, as well as excludes privatization, as in the latter case the government is no longer accountable for its function. 1

“A Doll’s House” Essay

“A
Doll’s House” Essay

The Blame is on Nora in A Doll’s House

The force of love and marriage underlying A Doll’s House is one of its key elements, all the more difficult to sustain and convey because it is not entirely explicit but deeply imbedded in the dialogue and gestures of the characters. The questions and issues of love in A Doll’s House can be reduced to something like this dual form: What are precisely the motives that drive Nora Helmer to break up her home; and is it credible that these motives should have presented themselves spontaneously to such a person as the author represents his heroine as being and should so effectively have actuated her?

“The Chrysanthemums” Essay

“The
Chrysanthemums” Essay

1. Introduction
In John Steinbeck’s short story “The Chrysanthemums” the fighting for equal rights are depicted though the character of the Elisa Allen. Women are generally considered to be the weaker sex and men’s subordinates. I say that without any grain of approval or disapproval- it is just the way things happen in our world. There is an opinion that women and men are not socially equal, as men usually work and earn money, and women take care of the house and children, but it is unfair to think so. The equality of two sexes is not in what people do, but in how they feel in doing what they choose to do. And women are often trying to destroy stereotypes that they are the weak sex by doing hard men’s job and trying to become more independent in their decisions and judgments. They are not trying to understand themselves and to find their own identities, but just to do what the society does not expect them to do. So, in “The Chrysanthemums” John Steinbeck talks about Elisa character, her endless energy, inner potential and her frustration with her present life and how the author implies symbolism to reveal those traits of character.
