Perspectives of Assisted Living Facility Caregivers

Clarity & Relevance of the Study
As the basis for describing the background of the problem this paper uses the work “Knowing the Resident with Dementia: Perspectives of Assisted Living Facility Caregivers” by Joyce Rasin and Donald D. Kautz published in the Journal of Gerontological Nursing. This research reveals the attitudes of two different groups of caregivers: those relying on behavior-centered knowledge and person-centered knowledge. This work also sheds light on the diverse constituencies involved in direct provision, funding, and evaluation of health care delivery to older Americans. The combination of practical research and policy expertise illustrates a rich diversity of perspectives for the modern assisted living facility caregivers. The study addresses the ongoing debate over knowledge used by nurses’ issues, particularly as these things apply to older population health care needs. Several common themes emerge in the study and are highlighted here to present an overview of salient issues related to the role of the gerontological nurses, choice and delivery of retiree health services.

Mill and Marx Research Paper

What
Would Mill and Marx Do?

Introduction

The question of liberty of an individual and society was one of the central questions that disturbed minds of different philosophers living in different epochs. In fact, the problem of the liberation of an individual and society from the limits of their subjective consciousness and perception of the surrounding reality could be traced in works of ancient philosophers, such as Plato. In this respect, it is possible to refer to his famous allegory of the cave, in which the philosopher depicts prisoners that are able to perceive only shadows on the wall and echoes, which they treat as actually existing phenomena, i.e. they perceive it as reality. In actuality, they are just reflection of the objectively existing reality and it is puppeteers who actually create this reality and control prisoners and their perception. At the same time, Plato admits the possibility of the liberation of a prisoner, who manages to turn around and see the objective reality and not the one that is reflected on the wall of the cave. However, the philosopher argues that, on discovering the puppeteers and the reality behind the prisoners, the freed prisoner will not be able to convince the rest of his former co-inmates in the existence of another objective and not illusory reality they see on the wall. In such a way, Plato raises a serious dilemma which seems to be irresolvable: whatever the freed prisoner do he would never convince society, i.e. other prisoners, in his righteousness, instead he would be perceived as an insane.

Essay
on We Should Keep Our Water Clean!

Water is a substantial part of our lives. We drink water everyday, we cook with it, and we wash ourselves and use it more frequently than any other natural resource. We are not able to exist without water as we mostly consist of water. We should protect water resources and keep it clean not just for the sake of our health, but also for the sake of nature, that provides us with water.

Essay on Minority Women

The
Matrix of Domination

“The emotional, sexual, and psychological stereotyping of females begins when the doctor says, “It’s a girl,” – this famous phrase of Shirley Chisholm, the outstanding American politician, clearly illustrates the position of women in modern world. Indeed, stereotypes are the cornerstone of women status, especially in the patriarchate society. Being a woman imposes certain obligations, and many of them have illogical nature. Some women get in even more difficult position that they cannot change – they belong to so-called “minority groups”. It takes much more patience and courage for minority women to make our society to recognize their status. However, despite all difficulties, modern minority women learnt to fight for their rights, recognition, success and happiness.

Essay on Madonna with Saints

Giovanni
Bellini’s Madonna with Saints

Madonna with Saints is one of the greatest paintings of the Renaissance. It was painted by the famous Renaissance artist Giovanni Bellini. The artist made his masterpiece in oil paints on wood, but later it was transferred to canvas. The size of the painting is rather big: 4.92 x 2.32 m. Later, in 1515, the painter did the altarpiece of this painting. Due to the artist’s ability to render the perspective and play of shades and shadows of color and light the painting has become a real masterpiece. Nowadays people can see this masterpiece on the altar in the little church in Venice. Madonna with Saints is not a usual picture of the Renaissance. Giovanni Bellini invented his own approach to color that is why he is considered to be the founder of the Venetian school of painting. His new approach to form and color, true and realistic characters, bright and precise accents allowed the Venetian school of painting to achieve the great popularity and even compete with the schools of Rome and Florence.

Research Paper on Business Ethics

Introduction

Traditionally, business was associated with the use of methods and approaches that did not always meet the existing moral standards. As the matter of fact, the history of the formation of the contemporary business, starting from the industrial revolution and ongoing development of capitalism to the present epoch, reveals the fact that business and economic interests of companies often varied consistently from the interests of a considerable part of society or, at least, did not meet the existing and declared moral standards. In this regard, it is possible to mention the cooperation of some western companies with the Nazi regime in Germany and the revelation of the fact that the Swiss banks, for instance, were also involved in cooperation with Nazi regime proves that the morality and business are not always compatible. In such a situation, the question of business ethics naturally arises.

Le Petit Prince and Coeur Brule Essay

French
literature tends to be rather dramatic that lyric. This is because most French authors have believed that an artist should not write purely to convey his moods and emotions. On the contrary, one should write about more general matters. However, in my paper I would like to talk about two magnificent pieces written by prominent French authors that are lyrical indeed. These two novels are: the Little Prince (Le Petit Prince), written by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, and the Burned Heart (Coeur Brule) by Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clezio. The goal of my paper is to show that both of the novels are targeted on the youth, even though being enjoyed by the grown-ups.

The Little Prince was written in 1942 while Antoine de Saint-Exupery was living in New York. The novel tells the story of an aviator whose plane crashed in Sahara. In he desert meets a young prince, who tells him about the planet he is from. His planet is very small, consisting only of three volcanoes, two of which are functioning, and inhabiting two living beings: the prince and his beloved rose. Though apparently a children’s book, The Little Prince makes several profound and idealistic points about life and human nature.
