Research Paper on Adolescent Development

Nowadays
a tendency exists to see the adolescents as an age group with the same cognitive, mental and physical features. This approach is totally inaccurate, as through the adolescence several stages exist which are eliminated on the basis of age. The measure of both mental and physical development differs a lot on every stage. It’s of vital importance for the school nurse to learn the differences between these age groups to make her labor more productive, as the members of these groups also have specific features in their health behavior.

Erica Monasterio, the author of the chapter about the adolescent behavior in the Fundamental Skills for Case Managers Study Guide (2003), states that there are three stages of development in the adolescence. Those are early adolescence (11-14 Years), middle adolescence (14-17 Years) and late adolescence (17-20 Years). The physical development reaches its peak velocity in the early adolescence while the development of the cognitive abilities continues through all the adolescence period. business
is a term used to collectively describe all commercial transactions (private and governmental, sales, investments, logistics, and transportation) that take place between two or more regions, countries and nations beyond their political boundary. International business is one of the most important factors of the normal existence of the human civilization. Essay on Research Methods

Speaking
about a Likert scale I would like to note that it is a special type of questionnaire format used in various surveys around the globe. Likert scale strives to obtain proper responses form the respondents assessing their level of agreement to each of a list of statements. Likert scale had been developed in the mid 1930s. One should remember that Likert scale is somewhat similar to Thurstone and Guttman scaling by being unidimentional. I will add that just like all scaling methods, Likert scale works this way. The first step should be to define what one needs to measure in the survey. As one already noted Likert scale is one-dimensional in nature, thus one needs to apply this scale only to the one-dimensional concepts used in questionnaires.

In order to better understand the way Likert scale works, lets take a look at a sample five-point Likert scale that would measure an attitude (Donnelly, 104): Read the rest of this entry »

The
United Nations
is an international organization which was created after the World War II by the countries who managed to defeat Nazi Germany and the countries, which helped it. Some years later the organization developed further and started to care about all the problems of the world, including human rights, drugs, human trafficking, nuclear weapon, etc. The organization has a great strict structure, and six principal organs, like the General Assembly and the Security Council (these organs are the most influential, because they touch upon the most serious aspects of human life – peace and security). UN controls, protects and facilitates the development of all spheres of human life but its power in not unlimited.
